Is it really the last day of 2020?

What a rollercoaster of a year. It was bittersweet for sure.

So at the beginning of the year, we never knew what was coming. I read a post by Simone @mama_to_the_power_of_4 where she spoke about how she and her husband choose a "theme" to go on for each year; and I thought, okay I would love to do this. Little did I know my focus would be shifted by the pandemic, but revisiting this right now brings so much perspective that I think that God intended for me to carry this word into 2021, and to keep a positive focus.

The word that came to me was "REVIVE"

Meaning:

- "give new strength or energy to"

- "to return or restore to consciousness or life; become active or flourishing again"

- "to restore from a depressed, inactive or unused state: to bring back"

- "to renew the mind or memory"

Here are some synonyms for the word "Revive":

revitalize, refresh, energize, resuscitate, strengthen, rejuvinate, regenerate, renew, brethe new life into, enliven, inspire.

Wow! What an awakening, and re-assurance from God.

Here's why this makes me even more hopeful for 2021... It goes on to explain the root of the word revive, and says, "To live! To survive is to remain alive. To revive is to bring back to life."

This in itself makes my focus shift to the positive. We need to shift our focus when it's not in a position that's not reviving us for the better. For me, it will take lyrics of a song, a word from God, and even just one word to shift my focus, and keep it focussed.

Find what can shift your focus from a negative to a positve and hopeful state of mind, and now and then re-focus.

So, this year, we've lived, loved, lost, cried, smiled, laughed, had material losses, had spiritual gains... and through it all God has strengthened us. I couldn't have survived this year without God.

I'm forever grateful to God for keeping my family safe and healthy through it all. I'm grateful for His provision and protection over our lives. It was so difficult and it still hurts thinking of those we lost to Covid19. Let's always remember them, and celebrate them.

When you look back on this year, pull out the positives. Something as simple as breathing, which we take for granted. Thank God. Be thankful.

Go into 2021 prayerful, faithful, hopeful and thankful.

Thank you to all of you who supported my blogging journey despite the year it has been.

I look foward to bringing you heartfelt content in 2021.

My prayer for you all for 2021, is that it will be the year we "REVIVE"

A Blessed New Year From My Family To Yours
