Starting My Days Without Faith

It's been a week since I've started my days with Faith, and now I start my days without Faith, and oh what a change.

Now I know how this title sounds (laughing). :) So what I mean is that I've been starting my mornings without my daughter, Faith.

I love Faith more each day, but the reality is that I cannot always be relaxed with just one thought going through my mind.

This decision came about when I knew that my mental health was being affected with this lifestyle change by this idiot of a virus that came in like a tornado and... "Oh wait, let me breathe and not go back into my negative space." :)

Here's what I've implemented...

I set my alarm for 7am (because I know I need to press the snooze button once at least), and I then get up, freshen up, and my workout then starts at 7:30am. Yes I've started "working out". Now don't get the picture me doing cardio! LOL! I'm so not there yet. I am doing things at a pace that my body can keep up with, so I just do beginner pilates and stretches that target certain problematic limbs. Hehehe.

After 20mins of this I wind down, and make a good cup of tea; and when I sit down and put on my headset with worship music playing; that's when I cancel out the noise, in my head, around me, just all the noise.

"Cancel Out The Noise"

It's so serene in these moments. Faith and Justin are still asleep, and it's the only moment I get to myself these days. And in these moments and just surrender to God.

I cry if I need to. I smile, I breathe, I meditate on the good. I cancel out all the negative and I just thank God. This just easily brings about a reset of my mind for the day, to think with a clear/open mind and go ahead and slay after I pray.

We as women/mothers, have so much we take on (because we can); but we NEED to take time for ourselves. We need to just breathe.

No you're not being selfish when you think of yourself at times. You're not selfish at all.

If anything you're being a great Mom by looking after yourself. I feel the best time to do this is when everyone is still asleep in the morning and you can slip out of bed and have an hour to yourself. Not to start working. Not to start planning.

To take that moment for yourself... To breathe... To meditate... To release. You then start your morning well, and set the tone for the day.

This positive space is just everything right now. My moment of peace. My moment of calm. My moment with God.

"Moments with God"

Too often do we neglect ourselves, and it's time we take the time we so deserve, for ourselves. Today, make that conscious decision; that positive decision, to start your days in a way that will make you feel good and set an awesome tone for your day.

This is what works for me. So do what works for you.

You can do this Queen!
